Our hero, whilst reading law at university, loses his girlfriend who is murdered. He investigates and finally dispatches the killer off this earth. He finds he has the knack and ferocity to enjoy revenge. Revenge is definitely sweet.

Whilst training as a barrister, he heroically rescues someone from a mugging and so begins a friendship that changes his life.

He becomes a vigilante with a difference.

He ensures that people he defends as a barrister, who he knows are guilty, are found ‘not guilty’ so he can gain revenge and dispatch them off in the most wicked way possible. He believes in the victim’s rights rather than criminals.

Wherever he travels, he seeks those who think they are untouchable and outside the law. But these are not outside our hero’s law.

He helps victims who have to suffer in silence, where the police have no interest and offer no help.

You may disagree with his tactics but the end result is that society becomes safer. He feels he has no choice but to do what he does as the criminal justice system, of which he is part of, constantly let’s the victims down.

In the second half of the novel, he is seconded to the British Forces where he fights a terrorist cell intent on destroying world order.

He finds a new love. Is it by coincidence or a devilish plan that our hero does not know, but this new love also has an interest in taking her revenge against the terrorist organisation. However by stopping world chaos, he loses yet another love in his life.

The ending will make you think, and think again and will never leave you.

What ever you do in life has consequences.
